Onboarding isn't a one-off thing.
It's the process of integrating (new and old) employees into a new environment. This environment is defined by features like people, culture, tools, and information. And these features change all the time.
So don't stop at onboarding new hires.
(Re)onboard returning parents, newly promoted managers, onsite employees who started off remotely, hybrid employees who started onsite, and so on. In 2021, everyone needs some form of onboarding!
The best place to start: Run internal surveys. Analyze incoming questions. Just check in with people. Monitoring the employee experience will reveal which onboarding programs need improvements β or might be missing altogether.
