Reiterating our commitment to delightful employee service

Responses on Slack from Back

When we started Back, we set out to make good on the idea of digitalization in the workplace. It should create efficiencies and strengthen the ways teams collaborate. In the past year, we’ve helped leading tech companies remove information silos and communicate with colleagues and employees more easily. We’re proud of our progress and eager to reiterate our pledge for delightful employee service.

We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ve raised $3.3 million in seed financing to expand our employee service platform and grow our team. The funding is led by La Famiglia, with participation from Gradient Ventures, Point Nine and Seedcamp. We’re happy to welcome an incredible group of angel investors and operators, including former Microsoft Head of Corporate Strategy Charles Songhurst, former Orange Board Member Matthias Hilpert and Eventbrite co-founder Renaud Visage.

This investment comes at a time when companies around the globe are moving towards a remote workforce. Many of them have suddenly and unexpectedly become remote-first. While organizations are facing new pressure to adapt to new constraints, ensure productivity, and engage employees in a human way, across geographies and timezones.

In the coming months, we’ll be working to enhance the ways you work with Back, including adding new integrations and workflows. With all new releases, we’ll continue to focus on the core principles of our platform that excite our customers. Made to save time, connected to your favorite apps, and designed for everyone.

Many teams, one platform

There is a common trend across companies of all sectors and sizes: employee service management is getting harder. Teams are spread across the globe, and as a consequence, adopt more modern workplace software. But the convenience of Slack or MS Teams and an increased number of tools can make it hard to keep track of requests or collaborate across projects.

Whether you work in People, IT, Workplace, Finance, Legal, Design or elsewhere, you crave more efficient processes. We’re listening. We continue to design the platform for a broad range of use cases to modernize the way you collaborate internally and save time. Back is the operating system that unifies human experiences across disparate tools.

A 24/7 concierge for your employees

Imagine a workplace where your employees can easily access previously answered common questions, or find the right point of contact for new requests. They’ll receive help within seconds. They can use the same contact, whether inquiring about your current remote policy, searching for lost payslips, or seeking new hardware approval. Back provides your employees with immediate self-service, without requiring an additional login. And because Back can solve simple questions using our learning system, your business operations teams won’t be overloaded by mundane tasks.
